Viper VPN100 NVMe SSDs have Interesting, Blazing Speeds

Viper VPN100 SSD News

Wide Variance Based on Capacity

Viper just launched the VPN100 NVMe drives. We got a sneak peek at these during CES, but now we get the detailed rundown of specs. The speeds are amazing! However, the speeds are just pretty good as well. Why? Because different capacities are changing the max speeds the drive can handle. Also, it’s interesting that the 1 TB option is the fastest of the bunch. Continue reading “Viper VPN100 NVMe SSDs have Interesting, Blazing Speeds”

Viper RGB M.2 NVMe Makes Debut! CES 2019

Viper VPN100 M.2 SSD News

It’s About Time!

NVMe drives have been around for quite some time. The speeds are phenomenal, but they originally needed a PCIe slot to work. Eventually the M.2 form factor came to NVMe, making installation a breeze by using a small space on the motherboard. The only thing that’s been missing is an RGB M.2 drive. Sure, RGB made it’s way to normal SSDs, but how does anyone know we have a blistering fast storage device if there aren’t any lights to show it off in the build? Samsung Offers Affordable Multi-TB SSDs, 860 QVO Series

Samsung 860 QVO SSD News

What’s a QVO?

We need to discuss how to pronounce QVO first. The Evo series appeared to be short for “evolution,” so I can only imagine what the 860 QVO series is going for. If we go with a long E, then we might have something like “Queevo.” Of course a short E might be more appropriate to the phonics of the letter Q. Quevvo? Patriot Trinity USB Flash Drive Review

Patriot Trinity USB Drive Review

Not the Tomb Raider One

You might have been thinking of the evil corporation in conflict with the Crofts. While we’re not talking about that Trinity, the device is far more versatile than the initial appearance would suggest. Patriot introduced a USB flash drive that can handle multiple ports, but we also want to see how well it performs. First, let’s look at a brief statement from the company. This Affordable 1TB NVMe Drive is from… Eluktronics?

Eluktronics Eluktro Pro-X G2 NVMe News

Who is Eluktronics?

You would be forgiven if you asked who Eluktronics is. To be fair, I was actually looking for a completely different NVMe drive when I stumbled across them. On the other hand, I’m glad I did. The company looks like it became an official business in 2011. All considering, that’s incredibly young even for a tech biz. The large portion of their products seems to come from laptops. If you’ve ever wanted a BYO option for a gaming laptop, this is the company to check out. I might address that more later, but let’s get back to the NVMe drive. Continue reading “This Affordable 1TB NVMe Drive is from… Eluktronics?”

Samsung MicroSD Pro Endurance 128GB Card Review

Samsung microSD Pro Endurance Review

Solid State Reliability

Samsung has always had a good reputation for reliability. Since the Pro Endurance is leaning heavily on longevity, it’s a good thing that it has a strong name behind it. However, this microSD card isn’t going to take the crown in the speed competition. The real question we want to answer is how well this card holds up to its specs, and how well it costs in comparison to the market. We want to give a huge thank you to Samsung for providing the sample in this review. Continue reading “Samsung MicroSD Pro Endurance 128GB Card Review”
